Plot
Overview for Missing Lady aka The Shadow and the Missing Lady (1946):
This
is the third in Monogram's series of B Shadow movies.
The story
involves a murder mystery and "missing lady" which is a small
jade statue. Lamont Cranston, alias the Shadow, sets out to catch the
killer but is blamed for the murders himself as each time he investigates
some facet of the case another suspect is killed. Some bad attempt at
comedy is made as Cranston taunts the police investigator by suggesting
that he look for the "missing lady" and as the investigator
insists no woman was taken from the crime scene. For some reason Cranston
lets the misunderstanding persist until well into the movie.
